Dr. Shawn Young
Dr. Young received his Baccalaureate of Sciences in Zoology from Brigham Young University. He went on to attend Oregon Health and Sciences University where he received his dental degree as a Doctor of Medical Dentistry. He graduated at the top of his class with both clinical and academic honors. He was selected for induction into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. This is a prestigious award given to those who excel not only academically but also display clinical excellence.
Dr. Young moved to Arizona in 2001 and has since been in private practice. He considers being a dentist a lifelong learning process and is a firm believer in continuing education. He has received special training in cosmetic dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Central Arizona Dental Association. He has received special training in cosmetic and implant dentistry. He completed Bicon institute’s surgical implant course. He believes in preventative dentistry and treats his patients with care and listens to their needs.
When not in the office, you can find Dr. Young spending time outdoors with his son Parker. He enjoys working on many projects at home and is an experienced cabinetmaker.
Valerie, Front Office
Valerie has been assisting patients with their dental care for over twenty years. She has a vast knowledge of dental insurance and can answer most insurance questions. She grew up in California and her friendly personality sets patients as ease. When she is not assisting patients, Valerie enjoys spending time with her daughter and riding her bike.
Alice, Dental Assistant
Alice is a transplant from Colorado. She has been helping patients achieve healthy smiles since 1997. She is very skilled at dental assisting and makes beautiful temporary crowns. She has a love of cooking and enjoys trying new recipes. In her free time, Alice reads novels and spending time with her extended family.
Chris, Dental Hygienist
Chris grew up in Chicago and moved with her husband to Arizona in 2007. She is an accomplished Dental Hygienist with over 20 years of experience helping patients maintain healthy teeth and gums. She is very gentle and makes having your teeth cleaned a pleasant experience. Chris loves life and it shows in her friendly personality. She is a mother of two boys and enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time outdoors
